Letter From the President

Coastal Contractors is Beaufort's oldest builder. We have served the Low Country for 50 years.

My father, Carson (Jim) Rentz purchased a local cabinet shop in 1950. The cabinet business prospered and was moved to its present location on Bladen Street in 1952. The following year, the building business began with the construction of two homes. In 1959, the name was changed from Coastal Cabinetworks to Coastal Contractors, Inc. Today, our family continues to own and operate the company.

We have an excellent support staff and offer in-house home design and decorating. Several of our staff members have been with us for over 20 years.

Coastal Contractors is equipped to fulfill all of your building needs. We build all types of residences from affordable starter homes to expensive custom homes. We can build on one of our lots, or yours. We also build multi-family and commercial projects.
